In the daunting moments of my life, confusion filled the atmosphere, it was as if a storm blew in with the lightning flashing and the thunder cracking! Oh, how I wished the storm would pass, but no it was here to stay, leaving its catastrophic impact of devastation behind that would take years to heal, if ever!
It was one attack right after the other—no option to breathe, no option for a two-minute time out—and just a constant barrage of physical, emotional, and mental attacks aimed at taking me out. I was wounded and perplexed, and I felt abandoned. Every ounce of fight and courage left in me was almost gone.
This was no nightmare—I was faced with its cold, hard reality day in and day out. I wanted the pain to go away; I wanted the hurt to end. Yet, what I didn’t know in the midst of this tempest was that a story was being born, a story so compelling it holds the power to transform the lives of so many others.
Having lived through some of the most horrific times a person could imagine, I was convinced that the story of One Man’s Journey could change the world having a positive and enduring outcome on all of its readers.
